March Athletic Club

Come and join us - get fitter and more healthy !

The March Athletic Club meets every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 6.15 pm.  Training is from Elm Road Sports Field, Elm Road, March. The usual training distance is a 5 mile lap around the March streets in the winter and more off-road in the summer months. Beginners will run a smaller lap.  All abilities are welcomed from beginners to marathon runners.  There are good changing and shower facilities at the club and refreshments can be purchased after the run. The club organises a Coach to the London Marathon each year for runners and spectators. (See Gena for booking seats).ll

A Quiz Night is held in the Spring each year.

The club takes part in the Cambs. Road Race League in the summer and the The Frostbite Friendly League in the winter.

We also enter a team in the Round Norfolk Relay in September.

Two events the club organises are The 5 Mile Spud Run and Fun Run in July, and the The Hereward Relay in November.

Some members travelled to Majorca in December for a Marathon and Half Marathon, so there is the opportunity to run abroad.

If you just wish to run and keep fit you can, or you can take part in the many races throughout the year at different distances. The choice is yours. Whatever you decide you will be assured of a warm welcome so why not come along one evening and see how we work out.
